L. M. Montgomery once said we pay a price for everything we get or take in this world. Or, in other words nothing that someone does is done without either negative or positive effects. I agree with this quote since it is impossible to do anything without somehow impacting the universe. In the drama Macbeth by William Shakespeare and the drama Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller, the main characters comit actions that later have major impacts on the characters emotions or what happens to them. Miller and Shakespeare use characterization to express this theme.
The drama Macbethis about a man named Macbeth who receives a prophecy that he will be king. Greedy and eagar, with the help of Lady Macbeth, he comits regicide, killing Duncan. He blames Duncans servants for the murder. As suspicion rises about Macbeth, Macbeth begins to kill more people whom he fears will challenge his power. In the end, Macbeth is killed by Macduff and Malcolm, the rightful king of Scotland is restored to the throne. Macbeth is characterized as impacient and power hungry. This causes him to kill Duncan, after he receives a prophecy from three witches that he is destined to be king. But, as Montgomery, nothing is done without results. After the regicide is committed, Macbeth looses many that were once loyal to him since people suspect him of killing the king. Also, since he committed such a felony, he is very traumatized about what he has done and has insomnia and becomes very upset, especially Macbeth was once characterized as a noble and loyal man. His relationship with his wife slowly degrades since they fight a lot more after Duncans murder.
You spoke about actions from the characters of mcbeth. Try and give examples of actions and explain in detail what kind of impact the ation had. Don't forget to link the essay back to the question
