Asked: Alcohol and sleeping?
I'm 17, and have been sufferign a little bit of insomnia lately (as in taking me a good hour or two to fall asleep and waking at least twice in the night). I put it down to stress, as I had my exams, however they are now finished, and it has improved.
Last night I had maybe 2 or 3 glasses of Malibu and lemonade, and found myself struggling to sleep again. I woke about 4 maybe 5 times in the night and had a nightmare (rare for me), in fact it was the same nightmare twice.I was staying at a relative's so maybe that was a contribution but is it possible that the alcohol worsened my sleep?
Asked: How to ease the symptoms of Alcohol withdrawal?
Are there any ways I can make withdrawal from alcohol easier? I have gone cold turkey and the past few days have been hell, I can't sleep, no appetite, major panic attacks, confusion, extreme anxiety (I am already a sufferer of extreme anxiety and panic (Generalized Anxiety Disorder) I am looking for any sort of advice, any sort of vitamins I can take to help me – all advice will be much appreciated
Asked: Tips on how to make it as a policemen if I have Bipolar Depression?
I recently dialed my local police station to see if they would hire a Bipolar person, and they said "Only if you can pass the exams, which nobody with Bipolar Depression has ever done before! We've denied many people for just having one suicide attempt in their life, and you also need to present a clean criminal record with no traumatic brain injuries or history of other physical issues like sleep walking, Tobacco smoking, physical injuries, near-death experiences, traumatic brain injuries and have a decent academic performance. I wish the best of luck to you!". Well I walked in and they were completely impressed with my clean record and they're saying that I still have to pass the exams, but then they were terrified that my intentions were to do commit a crime with their case just because they assume that every Bipolar Disorder who is reading a book about drugs is wanting to take them, and now they are keeping a closer eye on me while I take the exams.
How can I pass the exams? I know that people with other mental illnesses have (Asperger's Syndrome and ADHD for example), but how could I do it and what will I be dealing with in these exams? I know that they would never take an insane person, but I haven't snapped at somebody in over eleven months or have even drank Alcohol in my life (I'm twenty nine years old as well). What are some tips on how to make it in since they are actually giving me a small chance while most police stations wouldn't hire anybody with Bipolar Depression?
Asked: Simultaneous withdrawal from Alcohol and Cigarettes and maddening insomnia?
I went on a binge drinking spree for 3 weeks and it mostly consisted of 1 litre wine, couple of beers and 15 cigarettes a day.
I have totally gone cold turkey since two days. Today is the third.
For the last two nights I have had ZERO sleep. I lie awake in my bed in a semi-conscious state and find my self talking to myself although not out aloud. This just goes on throughout the night.
Any idea what's going on? I looked it up online and could not find anything on the talking-to-myself part but came up with scary results for the sleeplessness including chronic insomnia and alzhemiers.
I'm thinking whether i should start smoking again though i really don't want too but CANNOT imagine one more night of tossing and turning on the bed, talking to myself and unable to comprehend what's really going on
